1122 GMT - Adidas's third-quarter print should reassure investors at a time when market conditions are difficult in the sportswear sector, Jefferies analysts write in a note. The German company showed its ability to deliver higher earnings despite waning tailwinds from the FIFA World Cup and a highly promotional European backdrop, they say. Furthermore, the company said it will invest 100 million euros in the final quarter into measures to boost operating leverage in the future. "We view the group's decision to invest incrementally into cost-saving initiatives in 4Q as a testament to its ability to create new growth levers," the analysts say. The stock trades 2.7% higher.
