Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals (SHA:600276, HKG:1276) received approval from China's National Medical Products Administration to conduct a Phase III clinical trial of rezvilutamide tablets, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Friday.
The drug will be tested as a treatment for prostate cancer, evaluating its efficacy and safety when combined with androgen deprivation therapy in patients with high-risk localized prostate cancer or high-risk biochemical recurrence following radical surgery or radiotherapy.
Rezvilutamide was previously approved in China in 2022 for patients with metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer.
