United Therapeutics (UTHR) faces limited near-term upside for Tyvaso following the Liquidia (LQDA) settlement, RBC Capital Markets said in a note Thursday.
The analysts said key investor questions include whether Yutrepia can be prescribed off-label, how quickly can Yutrepia revenue transition to Tyvaso, whether United Therapeutics can take legal action against Liquidia's other treprostinil products, and why the company agreed to settle.
The analysts now expect Tyvaso franchise revenue to remain flat year-over-year in Q3 at $450 million, below the consensus estimate of $468 million.
They also revised their full-year 2026 revenue estimate to $1.87 billion, compared with consensus of $1.91 billion, and their full-year 2027 estimate to $2.72 billion, above consensus of $2.48 billion.
"Overall, while the upside scenario did not come to fruition for United, we think resolution of this dispute is a positive as corporate focus can be zoomed in on the upcoming IPF launch in April 2027," the analysts added.
RBC lowered its price target on United Therapeutics to $697 from $708 and kept its outperform rating.
