AstraZeneca, Abu Dhabi Biobank to Explore AI Platform for Disease Prediction

AstraZeneca (AZN) collaborated with Abu Dhabi Biobank, an initiative of the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi and M42, to combine genomic, biological and clinical data with AI to advance early disease detection and precision healthcare, the companies said Thursday.

The collaboration will advance rare disease research and evaluate AstraZeneca's MILTON AI platform for predicting Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease in regional populations.

Abu Dhabi Biobank combines more than 5 million biological samples, Emirati Genome Program data and longitudinal clinical records to support disease-risk research and personalized healthcare, the companies added.
