Cboe Global Markets Unit Gets Temporary SEC Registration as Covered Clearing Agency

MT Newswires Live00:59

Cboe Global Markets (CBOE) said Friday its Cboe Clear US unit received temporary registration from the US Securities and Exchange Commission to operate as a covered clearing agency.

The registration lets the unit clear securities products in addition to futures and swaps, and it will first clear Cboe's binary options tied to corporate performance targets, the company said.

The options will list on Cboe Options Exchange and be available on Robinhood (HOOD) in Q4 2026, it added.

Shares of the company were up about 3.7% in Friday trading.
