Stocks were mixed Tuesday as oil prices eased on hopes for diplomatic progress with Iran, and investors turned their focus to upcoming Big Tech earnings and the Federal Reserve's decision on interest rates.

Nvidia traded flat. The chip maker said it would invest $3 billion in Meta Platforms' recently announced share offer. In exchange, Meta will expand its deployment of Nvidia hardware to support its artificial-intelligence agents. Shares of Meta fell 1%.

Corning declined 3.8%. Though the optical networking company posted an earnings beat and offered solid quarterly guidance, it wasn't enough to quell investor concerns about the massive amount of spending needed for the AI buildout.

UPS rose 1.9%. The company surpassed Wall Street's estimates for the third quarter and boosted its guidance. UPS now expects 2026 revenue of $92.6 billion -- up from prior guidance of $91.2 billion.

Boeing fell 1.4%. The aerospace company posted an earnings miss, but its free cash flow of $464 million topped analysts' $238 million projection. Beyond the numbers, investors will be looking for an update on plane production and when the new 777 will be certified for commercial service.

JetBlue gained 13%. The airline raised its full-year forecast for revenue per available seat mile growth to 13.5% to 14.5%, from 10% to 12.5% previously. Still, it posted a wider-than-expected loss as soaring fuel prices continued to weigh on its profit.

PayPal fell 0.5% after the company delivered solid quarterly earnings and raised its full-year adjusted profit guidance, potentially reviving confidence in PayPal's turnaround, which has been focused on cost-cutting and AI integration.

SoFi Technologies climbed 11%. The digital neobank raised its full-year 2026 guidance and projects adjusted net revenue of about $5.04 billion. The rise in share price broke Sofi out of the post-earnings slump it has endured since last October.

Coca-Cola dipped 0.2%. The beverage giant beat earnings estimates, but it reported flat sales volumes in North America, down from 3% growth in the second quarter.

Royal Caribbean advanced 6% as the cruise ship operator beat third-quarter earnings expectations and raised its full-year guidance, signaling to investors that the run-up in fuel costs hasn't had much of an impact on its business.

Whirlpool fell 2.2%. The household appliance maker posted a surprise loss and slashed its full-year guidance as it struggles to address declining sales and shrinking margins.

Celestica jumped 12%. The electronics manufacturer posted strong third-quarter results and raised its full-year outlook, citing the boom in demand for artificial-intelligence infrastructure.

Nucor advanced 4.9%. The steel producer's third-quarter profit surged, with earnings for its steel mills segment more than doubling from a year ago.
