HubSpot Faces Near-Term Pressure Amid Uneven Demand, Nascent AI Monetization, UBS Says

HubSpot (HUBS) faces a bumpier near-term growth outlook amid uneven small and midsize business demand, early-stage artificial intelligence monetization and potential friction from its new pricing model, UBS Securities said in a note emailed Tuesday.

The company is scheduled to report its Q3 results on Nov. 4.

The analyst lowered its fiscal 2027 constant currency revenue growth forecast to 13% from 14.5% prior, which is below the Street's 14% estimate. The firm sees limited downside but less potential upside to fiscal 2026 guidance.

UBS sees near-term sales friction from consumption-based pricing and limited AI monetization, with only 5% to 10% of customers buying additional credits. Competition from AI-native providers is intensifying, though existing customers remain reluctant to replace HubSpot's system.

The brokerage sees long-term upside from embedded AI and consumption-based monetization, but after a more than 30% share-price gain over the past month, HubSpot trades at about 12 times calendar 2027 enterprise value to free cash flow, leaving a balanced risk-reward outlook.

UBS downgraded its rating on the stock to neutral from buy but raised its price target to $310 from $290.

HubSpot shares were down over 3% in Tuesday trading.
