Chugai Pharmaceutical Posts Higher Nine-Month Net Income; Revenue Up

Chugai Pharmaceutical (TYO:4519) posted a net income of 375.30 billion yen for the nine months compared with 305.60 billion yen a year ago.

Earnings per share was 228.07 yen compared with 185.70 yen a year earlier, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Tuesday.

For the nine months ended Sept. 30, revenue was 1.068 trillion yen versus 911.64 billion yen previously, the Tokyo-listed pharmaceutical company said.

The company plans to pay a second quarter-end dividend of 66 yen per share.

For the year ending Dec. 31, the company expects core net income of 485 billion yen, core earnings per share of 295 yen, and revenue of 1.345 trillion yen.
