The scope of Anthropic's nearly $1 trillion in deals with other tech firms became much clearer Monday when it publicly released its preliminary prospectus for the first time. While none of these deals appears to be entirely new, seeing them in one place shows just how interdependent major tech firms are.
And while the splashiest reveal was the scope of its use of SpaceX's computing power at its artificial intelligence data centers-to the tune of $120.5 billion-that's not even the company's biggest deal, according to its S-1 filing.
Here are the biggest deals we found while combing through the 318 page filing. Anthropic calls them "certain of our most significant existing arrangements," while noting that, "we are also party to other compute infrastructure service arrangements and leases that are not described below."
Broadcom - $161.2 billion
"We have entered into five-year master equipment leases with Broadcom, pursuant to which we receive such hardware for deployment in dedicated data center facilities operated by others on our behalf," Anthropic disclosed. The deal can't be canceled except in case of default.
SpaceX - $120.5 billion
Elon Musk's space and AI company is leasing Anthropic compute powered by Nvidia graphics processing units through 2029, at a rate of $3.1 billion a month once all capacity has been delivered. After March 2027, the deal can be cancelled by either side with 90 days notice.
Various -- $125 billion to $150 billion
Anthropic plans to pay another $125 billion to $150 billion to various companies, including Google for their custom-designed tensor processing units from 2028 through 2031, subject to the amount available and other factors.
Google - $114.5 billion
This deal for infrastructure services can only be cancelled "in the event of Google's uncured material breach."
Amazon - $110.0 billion
The startup will pay Amazon this sum for infrastructure services through 2036, "regardless of actual usage." That deal is also non-cancelable, "except in the event of Amazon's uncured material breach."
Microsoft - $44.9 billion
Anthropic's deal with Microsoft, also for infrastructure, runs through May 2033 and is also non-cancelable unless there is a material breach or undelivered tranches.
Nscale - $44.6 billion
Similar to the SpaceX deal, Anthropic has partnered with neocloud Nscale to access compute powered by Nvidia chips. But this deal has more contingencies: "Nscale is required to use best efforts to obtain qualifying financing for the NVIDIA GPUs and data center infrastructure within a specified period following the effective date of such agreements," the filing reads. The deal is otherwise noncancelable.
Lambda - $41.3 billion
Noticing a theme here? Yes, this is yet another deal with a neocloud for more compute powered by Nvidia chips through 2034. And don't expect this to be the last compute deal, either. There are already reports of more compute deals in the works.
