Surgery Partners (SGRY) said Monday it has agreed to be acquired by HealthSpan Partners in an all-cash deal valuing the company at an enterprise value of about $5.7 billion.

Shares soared 47%, with intraday trading volume catapulting to over 51.0 million from a daily average of about 2.3 million.

EQT (EQT) agreed to buy Range Resources (RRC) in an all-stock transaction that will create the largest natural gas producer in the US, with a combined enterprise value of more than $50 billion, the companies said Monday.

Range Resources shares climbed up 17%, with intraday trading volume rising to more than 16.1 million from a daily average of about 2.6 million.

Xencor (XNCR) shares jumped 18% after the company said its experimental cancer drug XmAb819 showed a 45.5% confirmed objective response rate in a phase 1 study of patients with advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma.

Intraday trading volume jumped to over 6.8 million shares from a daily average of roughly 1.4 million.
