Corcept Therapeutics (CORT) said Monday that results from a mid-stage trial evaluating the combination of Lifyorli with nab-paclitaxel and bevacizumab showed the treatment slowed ovarian cancer progression and shrank tumors in patients.
The pharmaceutical company said the study demonstrated a median progression-free survival of 7.2 months and an objective response rate of 59% in 95 patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.
Patients whose tumors return or resume growing less than six months after receiving platinum-containing therapy are deemed "platinum-resistant," Corcept said.
Shares of Corcept were up 2.5% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
