United Microelectronics (UMC) reported Q3 earnings Wednesday of 1.31 New Taiwan dollars ($0.04) per diluted share, up from NT$1.19 a year earlier.
Four analysts polled by FactSet expected NT$1.31.
Operating revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was NT$74.24 billion, compared with NT$59.13 billion a year earlier.
Analysts projected NT$75.33 billion.
