Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals (SHA:600276, HKG:1276) received approval from China's National Medical Products Administration to add an indication for remimazolam tosilate for injection, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing on Tuesday.
The drug was approved for use as sedation during mechanical ventilation in intensive care.
Hengrui has so far spent 222.5 million yuan on the drug's R&D.
