Apple (AAPL) has discussed charging $2,899 for a new 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 Pro chip and an OLED touch-screen display, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing a person with knowledge of the matter.
The 16-inch version would cost at least $3,399, based on the existing non-touch model's $2,999 starting price, according to the report. Apple plans to keep selling the non-touch models.
The new machines will also feature a Dynamic Island element, a first for a Mac, the report said.
Apple is expected to unveil them Wednesday, targeting content creators and media-editing professionals.
Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
