Stellantis plans a "product offensive" to counter a sales decline for its key Jeep brand, Chief Executive Antonio Filosa said today, acknowledging that Jeep "needs to be improved."
The American-European automaker is racing to cut costs in a bid to stop its cash drain next year.
2026 has been a year of recovery for Stellantis' other main U.S. brand, Ram, whose sales are up about 20% in the U.S., Filosa said.
Jeep, despite bringing back its moderately priced Cherokee SUV as a hybrid, is down 8% so far, according to Motor Intelligence data.
Jeep will roll out fresh versions of its Wrangler, Gladiator and Grand Cherokee, while introducing a battery-powered Grand Wagoneer SUV with a gas-engine generator on board.
"Those are important launches in '27 for a brand that we all love," Filosa told reporters on a call Wednesday.
The company's stock price jumped 14% today.
