U.S. Treasury Yields Mixed, Dollar Steady in Run-up to Fed Meet

Dow Jones10-26 18:25

1025 GMT - U.S. Treasury yields are mixed, with short-dated yields higher and 10-year yields steady, while the dollar stays stable ahead of the Federal Reserve's interest-rate decision Wednesday. The Fed is expected to hold rates, leaving focus on signals about potential future increases. "Firmer GDP or PCE inflation figures could rebuild tightening expectations and lift yields, while softer readings would reinforce the recent decline," ICM MENA's Ahmed Kamal says in a note. Meanwhile, concerns about artificial intelligence investment could maintain demand for Treasurys and limit dollar support, he says. The two-year Treasury yield rises 1.7 basis points to 4.699%, the 10-year Treasury yield rises 0.2 basis points to 4.988%, according to Tradeweb. The DXY dollar index is steady at 101.84.
