Treasury Yields Little Changed Ahead of Fed

Dow Jones10-28 20:48

0848 ET - Bond markets trade sideways ahead of an expected interest rate hold by the Fed. Investors are mostly pricing in a hike in the following meeting, in December, but the outlook could change depending on today's communication. Inflation expectations remain above the Fed target and economic indicators have been robust. "Given the recent strength in US macro data, we think the Fed will lean very hawkish at today's meeting," TS Lombard's Daniel Von Ahlen says in a note. The 10-year yield is at 4.997%, slightly up from yesterday's settlement. The two-year also edges higher to 4.747% from 4.735%.
