Itochu (TYO:8001) and Tokyo Century (TYO:8439) secured European Commission approval to acquire joint control of US-based Aviation Capital Group, according to a Tuesday statement from the regulator.
The transaction, which centers on the aviation leasing sector, was cleared under the EU Merger Regulation using the simplified review procedure.
The commission concluded the deal would not raise competition concerns given the companies' "limited combined market position."
