BOE Could Push Back Against Market's Expectations of Rate Rises

1357 GMT - The Bank of England could resist market expectations of a number of BOE rate hikes to come at its November policy meeting, BNP Paribas' Dani Stoilova says in a note. Investors fully price in four BOE rate hikes by July and a possible fifth by the end of 2027, LSEG data show. U.K. borrowing costs remain elevated as government bond yields are close to multi-decade highs, lowering the need for rapid BOE rate rises, Stoilova says. In addition, there is no evidence yet of second-order inflation, and this could allow the BOE to delay further rate hikes after next week's increase, she says.
