WPP Still Has Work to Do to Regain Investors' Trust
Dow Jones10-30
1742 GMT - WPP's third-quarter update shows the U.K. advertising company is slowly but steadily recovering, but it still needs to show evidence of sustained improvement, Bernstein analysts say in a research note. The company reiterated its 2026 guidance, which probably includes some caution, and executives were measured when discussing next year's account pitches, Bernstein says. "The next step is consistent execution and rebuilding investor confidence," the analysts say. "Until then, we remain on the sidelines, but acknowledge that the upside potential could be meaningful if operating trends continue to improve." Shares closed 5.4% higher.
