Sentrycs is offering its portable counter-drone system for $99,000, aiming to capitalize on a new round of federal funding to expand counter-drone capabilities nationwide.
Sentrycs, an Ondas subsidiary specializing in counter-drone technology, said Thursday the fixed-price offering for its Sentrycs Ranger system is designed to help state and local law-enforcement agencies detect, track, identify and counter unauthorized drones.
The offer follows an Oct. 16 announcement by the Federal Emergency Management Agency of an additional $250 million in funding to expand counter-drone capabilities across all 50 states, five territories and Washington, D.C.
Sentrycs said its portable system uses radio-frequency technology to detect and track drones, as well as provide operators with real-time information about potential threats. The fixed-price offering is intended to make it easier for agencies to budget for and deploy counter-drone technology across multiple teams and locations, it added.
