Market Chatter: South Korean Court Rejects Tesla Car Owners' FSD Refund Suit

MT Newswires Live10-29 12:53

A Seoul court threw out a claim by dozens of Tesla car owners who sought up to 9 million won each in refunds for delayed access to the company's full self-driving (FSD) package, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday, citing Judge Kim Seok-beom.

Kim on Thursday ruled that Tesla was required only to supply autonomous driving functions that are technically achievable under domestic and international rules, and that some FSD features had in fact been delivered via software updates, the news wire said.

The decision aids Tesla as it seeks regulatory clearance for FSD beyond North America, where the software and its marketing have faced scrutiny, the publication said.

Tesla did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
