O'Reilly Automotive upped its full-year comparable store sales guidance amid strong third-quarter sales and a boost from tariff refunds.
The car-parts retailer on Wednesday said it now expects its full-year comparable store sales between 5.5% and 6.5%. Analysts polled by FactSet expect full-year same-store sales growth of 5.5%.
O'Reilly's comparable-store sales grew 7.2% in the third quarter, compared with analyst expectations of a 4.5% increase.
The company logged a profit of $785.6 million, or 97 cents a share, compared with $725.9 million, or 85 cents a share, a year earlier. Chief Executive Brad Beckham said the increase was driven by top-line growth and a $39 million benefit to tariff refunds in the third quarter.
Quarterly sales were $5.12 billion compared with $4.71 billion last year. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $5.02 billion.
The company also raised its full-year gross margin guidance to a range of 51.6% to 52.1% and our profit guidance to a range of 19.5% to 20%.
O'Reilly this year has opened 173 net, new stores across North America and is on track to reach its goal of 225 to 235 net, new store openings in 2026.
