Palantir's Retail Investors Shift Focus Back Toward Capital Return Themes, RBC Says

Palantir Technologies' (PLTR) retail investors have shifted focus back toward capital return themes, as the company's cash and marketable securities balance approaches about $9 billion, RBC Capital Markets said in a Tuesday note.

RBC said its tracker showed that topics of dividends, stock splits and buybacks have surged to 46% weighted relevance, up 30 points quarter-on-quarter, suggesting a "growing frustration with the lack of concrete action on shareholder returns."

RBC said its government tracker has suggested that contract value has declined on a sequential basis but remains elevated, as ongoing geopolitical conflicts continue to drive activity.

RBC maintained the company's underperform rating with a $90 price target.
