Nvidia (NVDA) stock fell 2.84% in Friday's premarket trading after reports from The New York Times and other outlets said US, Singaporean, and Taiwanese officials suspect a former Megaspeed International executive of sharing information with Chinese intelligence.

Alice Huang, who worked with Nvidia on data-center projects in Asia, reportedly had close business ties with CEO Jensen Huang, the report said.

The Justice Department is now leading a probe into Megaspeed over suspected diversion of Nvidia chips to China, it added. Nvidia told the Wall Street Journal that Huang's interactions with Alice Huang were consistent with their business ties.

Nvidia did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
