Shares of Twist Bioscience rose after the biotechnology company announced a service that can produce and quickly evaluate antibodies for artificial-intelligence drug discovery research.
Shares were up 10% at $175.81 as of midday Wednesday. The stock has more than quintupled in value this year.
The company said the service, with a turnaround time as short as five days, would help bridge the gap between early antibody binding data and drug development.
"Twist Express Screening Antibodies bring speed and scalability to early-stage characterization, enabling researchers to move broader candidate sets from sequence to data, iterate faster and focus downstream development resources on the antibodies with the greatest potential," Chief Executive Officer Emily Leproust said.
