AB InBev Can Meet New Drinkers over a Zero-Alcohol Beer, CEO Says

1342 GMT - Beer free of alcohol offers more opportunities for brewing giant AB InBev to engage with consumers, Chief Executive Michel Doukeris says. Sales of the Brussels-listed group's zero-booze and lower-calorie products--like Budweiser Zero, Corona Cero and Stella Artois Pure Gold--recorded a 35% leap over the three months through September. Drinks in this category cover more occasions and more consumers, Doukeris tells analysts in a call following Thursday's sales update. The category can target the youngest drinking-age consumers through to older adults who want to host and entertain but want to try alcohol-free beers, at least some of the time, he says. AB InBev, the world's largest beer group, claims to lead the no-alcohol beer market too.
