0734 GMT - While the economic dynamics that have kept the Federal Reserve on hold is a similar environment observed in Asia-Pacific, it doesn't mean Asia will follow the same path, says Navin Saigal, Blackrock's head of global fixed income. "Regional central banks are confronting very different combinations of growth, inflation, currency and external pressures," says Saigal. China is grappling with subdued domestic inflation and demand, while Japan remains on a normalization path, and Southeast Asia is witnessing what Blackrock describes as "different macroeconomic impulses" from exposure to AI and energy-price fluctuations. "That growing divergence matters for investors: Asian bond markets are increasingly being driven by their own economic and policy cycles, creating opportunities for diversification across curves, currencies and credit," Saigal says.
