Dow Jones11-04
0831 GMT - European wind energy stocks rise in opening trade after Democrats take control of U.S. Congress. President Trump and his administration have criticized wind energy and favored fossil fuels. The administration has also halted offshore projects that were nearing completion. Denmark's Orsted rises 6.4% while wind-turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems rises 4%. Germany's Nordex, which produces wind power systems, rises 5.7%.
