CNOOC (HKG:0883, SHA:600938) will resume production at its Lingshui 17-2 deep-sea gas field in the fourth quarter following its closure due to an accident early in 2026, Reuters reported Friday, citing an earnings call.
The field is CNOOC's first wholly owned and operated deepwater gas field and has a yearly capacity of 4.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas, according to the report.
The incident will have limited impact on the oil company's overall production, according to the newswire.
