HD Hyundai's (KRX:267250) robotics arm HD Hyundai Robotics is collaborating with Palantir Technologies for initiatives that seek reduction in robot programming costs of above 50%, The Korea Times reported Sunday, citing remarks from Ann Sung-hwan, the company's chief technology officer and vice president.
The collaboration combines AI and simulation with expertise from human engineers within robot programming, the report said.
With new agents integrated in the robots' problem-solving efforts, the companies estimate a reduction in the average time to complete tasks to 7.9 days from 21.5 days, according to the report.
The company will also assign field engineers as "on-site solution experts" with additional tasks such as defining problems and carrying out AI-driven solutions, the report said.
