Axcelis Technologies (ACLS) and Veeco Instruments (VECO) said Monday they now expect their all-stock merger to close by the end of Q1 2027.
The companies said in February that they expected to complete the merger within H2 of 2026.
The companies said they continue to work with China's State Administration for Market Regulation to receive regulatory clearance.
They also plan to make a new filing under the US Hart-Scott-Rodino antitrust law as their existing clearance is nearing expiration, the companies added.
Under the deal, each share of Veeco common stock will be converted into 0.3575 Axcelis shares at closing, the companies said.
