BYD's (HKG:1211, SHE:002594) new energy vehicle sales increased to 490,168 units in October from 441,706 units a year earlier, according to a Sunday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Production rose to 488,104 units from 429,808 units in the prior year.
For the 10 months ended Oct. 31, sales and output fell 2.16% and 0.45% year over year to 3.6 million vehicles and 3.6 million units, respectively.
