Taiwan Optical Platform (TPE:6464) said its information systems and those of its subsidiaries, were hit by a cyberattack from unidentified external hackers, according to a Friday Taiwan bourse filing.
The attack encrypted files on certain servers and caused a disruption to the normal operation of some internal systems. The company activated its incident response procedures.
The optical components maker has reported leakage of personal data, core confidential information and important documents, with forensic analysis and investigation into the scope of impact ongoing.
