Wowprime Flags Cybersecurity Incident at Outsourced Shopping Website Service Provider

Wowprime (TPE:2727) said an outsourced shopping website service provider detected abnormal data access in its service system, which led its subsidiary Wowfresh to launch a cybersecurity investigation, according to a Wednesday filing to the Taiwan stock exchange.

The service provider blocked the abnormal access attempt after detecting the incident and notified Wowprime. Wowfresh subsequently activated its cybersecurity response mechanism and requested an investigation into the affected systems and potential data exposure.

The scope of the impact remains under investigation, but the shopping website continues to operate normally without interruption, with preliminary assessments indicating no significant impact on operations, the company said.
