Market Chatter: Goldman Sachs, Apollo Begin Marketing $40 Billion SpaceX Chip Financing Deal

Goldman Sachs Group (GS) and Apollo Global Management (APO) have begun approaching investors to syndicate portions of a roughly $40 billion financing package for SpaceX's Nvidia GPU purchases, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing unnamed sources.

The deal includes an $8.3 billion senior-secured loan and multiple bond tranches, the report said. Goldman led the loan portion, while Apollo was a key bond investor, it added.

A special purpose vehicle managed by Apollo-backed Atlas SP will purchase Nvidia chips and issue debt, keeping the financing off SpaceX's balance sheet, according to Bloomberg. The package will fund approximately $47.3 billion in GPU equipment purchases, with deliveries expected in 2027, it said.

Goldman, Apollo and SpaceX did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
