Bitcoin fell to its lowest level since September Thursday as the tech sell-off intensifies.
The largest cryptocurrency recently traded at around $76,000, down about 5% over the past 24 hours.
Digital currencies and crypto-linked stocks tend to trade in tandem with tech stocks. The digital-assets market has also been on edge after a record $6.3 billion hack into crypto exchange Binance and a Democratic election sweep that some investors fear could translate into greater scrutiny of the crypto industry.
Shares of Coinbase Global and Strategy are both down about 10% Thursday afternoon.
