-- "October's jobs report was hot and puts renewed pressure on the Fed to hike in December after post-midterm fears that a slower AI buildout cooled hike expectations," said Jeff Schulze, head investment strategist at Franklin Templeton Institute.
-- "The Fed will get one more inflation report ahead of its December meeting, but it will find it difficult to avoid another hike while data continues to point to a robust economy burdened by stubborn inflation," said Ryan Weldon, investment director and portfolio manager at IFM Investors.
-- "This is an unambiguously strong jobs report and follows a string of healthy labor market data points recently. The Fed has not been worried about the state of the labor market but has instead been focused on inflation. This should only reinforce that stance as we remain a ways from overheating in the jobs market," said Addison Maier, portfolio manager at Janus Henderson Investors.
-- "The continued resilience of the labor market gives the Fed room to remain focused on inflation, and we expect a rate hike next month followed by one more in 2027," said Angelo Kourkafas, senior global strategist of investment strategy at Edward Jones.
