Below is written by an angry shareholder on Facebook:
Ng Yat Chung, former HJC student and ex-CDF general,
How you behaved yesterday was terrible.
You have discredited your uniform, behaving like a curmudgeon.
You have also rankled current and former students of Hwa Chong.
You were so besotted with your position and forgot your temperament,
Revealing your snooty nature and appearing as a rasping termagant.
Such manners never inculcated in Hwa Chong or any school in Spore,
Don't forget you are not in the military anymore.
The reporter that asked two questions spoke politely,
You, however, were haughty and behaved belligerently.
Your self-assured hubris should now be shaken due to SPH’s performance,
Reflecting your lack of knowledge, inexperience and ignorance.
Your management of NOL and SPH were egregious,
You sold away an asset once regarded as precious,
And turned a profitable media business into losses.
Everyone can make a mistake,
That shareholders can tolerate,
But you don’t even ingratiate with us,
Turning our SPH shares into dust.
With dividends you were very flinty,
Rewarding yourself, you took plenty.
Hiving off the media business with SPH’s money,
Is an iniquitous trade that is taking away our honey.
Those years you spent being rotated within Temasek,
Presumably to prepare you as a CEO candidate,
Now seems futile and was a complete waste,
Of taxpayers’ money, sadly this is a true case.
Your behaviour yesterday I find it odious and pugnacious,
Totally unnecessary for a meeting that should have been gracious.
You ought to be gracious and resign to take accountability,
For the terrible performance and your lack of creativity.
Digitilisation occurred before you joined SPH,
With your credentials you should have the edge,
Yet you behaved like a troglodyte, ignorant of what lies ahead.
And now another business is given away,
To find new talent and pave a more prosperous way,
Leaving us shareholders frustrated and immiserated.
So perform an honourable and valiant act,
Put on your General's hat,
And disappear into the sunset.
