First of all, yes I did buy $AMC Entertainment(AMC)$ and sold if off at $15 dollars. Because I did not have time to keep track on the “plays” and I am holding too many other stocks. So I need to reduce the amount of holding to able to focus.
In short, this is a objective look at AMC, becuase currently i do not hold any shares.
As of yesterday, once AMC broke the $51 mark… I know that nothing could stop it from rising (please be aware and becareful that this is a very volatile).
Still i pondered is AMC still broken fundamentally like what analyst said? Because it is debt ridden, no one wants to watch movie on the big screen and so forth…
What is the bull case scenario here? Cause for every “yin” there is “yang” and for every “pro” there is a “con”.
So here are the bull case i see:
1) Management (5/5 ??????):
A strong leader and a great team that listens and understands its stakeholders and shareholders. Battle harden during the pandemic and able to pivot fast. For example; they launched their investor relation page for the retail investors aka APES
(www.amctheatres.com/stockholders). Also display Adam Aron’s twitter account url. All create engagement, transparency and gain support. This is where $GameStop(GME)$failed and AMC is playing it different. So they might be harder to play against them. Of course the retail investor are more wiser now.
2) Growth (3/5 ✨✨ ✨)
After Mudrick's sale, Adam Aron is eyeing on expansion. This indicate growth and translate value and confidence. However i will put it as 3 stars as it will take time to execute and risk of deal falls is possible.
3) Marco (4/5 ????)
If Biden’s plan of getting most American to get vaccinated succeed. This will boost AMC value. Already survey done shows that 80%++ of Americans still want to go to cinema to watcha movie.
I am not sure how far it can grow but if we will base of GME. I would not be surpised it will be price at the close range.
But who honestly knows right?…...
