SHARES of SingMyanmar^: Y45 +12.82% were up on Monday after the investment company announced it was pivoting its direction towards technology-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) businesses.
As at 11.32am, the counter gained 10.6 Singapore cents or 151.4 per cent to reach its intraday peak of 17.6 Singapore cents amid heavy trading, with some 18.2 million shares changing hands.
On June 30, the company said it would pivot the company's direction to include cryptocurrency, SaaS and other high-tech platforms.
It would also look to work with other partners in the areas of gaming, augmented reality and digital entertainment, and electric vehicles and robotics.
The company had previously announced it was entering into a subscription agreement with China-based Internet company The9, which will become a strategic shareholder of Singapore Myanmar Investco.
