Even after more than 10 years in refining my trading skill, I firmly believe that I am still in the development stage to reach a higher level. A recent example that highlights the distinction between an exceptional trader like @Qullamaggie and a good trader lies in trade management with CVNA $Carvana Co.(CVNA)$ .
The ability to exhibit strong conviction and intuition sets apart a great trader, while a good trader diligently follows their strategy day in and day out. I sniffed a trading opportunity in CVNA as early as April and have repeatedly mentioned it in my daily market diary.
Over the past two months, I engaged in five long trades on this stock, resulting in a cumulative loss of -3.5R. On May 30th, I sized up my position but decided to close the entire position the following day.
This decision was driven by the need for a follow through price action to justify the increased risk exposure. Today, CVNA experienced a remarkable surge of +100% in just one week. It would have been a 22-24R compounded trade for me.
PS: It doesn't really matter how or what anyone makes money from the stock market on. The matter of fact is if one can be profitable in the market, he's already ahead of 95% of the pack.
