$THAI BEVERAGE PUBLIC CO LTD(Y92.SI)$ is the largest beverage company in Thailand. If you have been to Thailand, you must have came across or consumed one of its products before. It's none other than Chang beer. I just went to Bangkok recently, and trust me, the crowd in the bars and night markets have returned to pre-Covid levels.
With international tourists especially Chinese tourists returning to Thailand and Vietnam, alcohol consumption is definitely going to be boosted and ThaiBev is one big beneficiary of this trend. However, do take note of the potential downside to ThaiBev business as the new winning party MFP might introduce changes to the regulation of Thailand domestic beer market, allowing commercial sale of homemade brews. If that really happens, there might be a slight reduction in ThaiBev market share over longer term. That being said, ThaiBev has established really great moats such as market branding and extensive distribution networks over the years and it will not be easily overtaken by new players in the market.
