$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ Stock price just went south by ~10%. It was a painful drop, but for seasoned Tesla shareholders, this is nothing new. Tesla stock price is relatively volatile and it's not for the faint hearted.
So what exactly happened during earnings call that resulted in the sharp dip in share price? Basically, musk announced the possible price reduction in its products. And that creates fear of thinning profit margins which then resulted in a sell off.
However, price adjustment to products are part and parcel of how companies adapt to macro economic conditions. In the current market, affordability is key in gaining traction. I believe that's why Musk made that announcement.
All in all, I hope we are all ready for another round of roller coaster ride with Tesla! Invest safe.
