    In gist, people bought SIA few weeks back due to the dividend payout. Since ex-dividend happened, they would sell off their shares

      Dividend usually paid out mid or toward end of month. If you're holding the stock under Tiger, you'll see the dividend payout under Stock PnL, then Trading History, then Dividend History.

    actually would it make sense to sell after dividend payout? coz the price would have drop?

      Depending on your objective. SIA will constantly grow for the next 1-2 years due to the demand. If you are day trader / only want dividend profit , then you would have sold it 😆. Most of us here bought at 3-5 dollar range , hence no point for us to sell off unless we really in need of money etc.
