Looking back on my investment journey over the past year or so, I can safely say that the investment principles that have served me well are truly the core, basic ones: do your research, buy low/sell high, diversify, don't invest money you don't have, be patient, etc. I won't say i've made a lot of money, but i have, at least, made some returns (more than if i'd just left my cash in the bank). and i'm glad to say that i've not lost money. so if you are a newbie like me, my advice is know your basics and stick to them.
