$Intel(INTC)$ $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ $Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$
$INTC bought 1k shares right before close. Until about three weeks ago I wasn’t an intel fan because they needed to purge the problems.
14th gen isn’t a savior by any means, more of a let down, and that’s already factored in.
AMD is a champ (full disclosure own 1k shares of AMD as well) but intel is an IPC king considering how refined their process is.
The development of a smaller node is super costly and has yield issues. AMD outsources TSMC for a reason. Intel couldn’t get their yield tech where they needed to be so in a hardheaded way kept refining 14nm to the point it still went neck-to-neck.
Same with 10nm. The lessons and efficiencies learned there are working their way to the new and smaller nodes. I expect both Intel and AMD to have a bright future.
