Meituan: One of the Biggest Winners on Holiday

Meituan is one of the biggest winner on 2023 Mid-Autumn and National Day, driven by the drastic increase of consumption and online orders.

According to domestic media reports, recently Meituan Splurge released "2023 Mid-Autumn and National Day Travel Season Consumption Trend Report". The report shows that compared to the same period last year, the increase in foreign orders reaches as high as 86%. Digital home appliances, cosmetics and personal care, sports and outdoor, mother and baby toys, and daily wear and accessories, which are highly relevant to the travel scene, were at the forefront of the increase, with year-on-year growth in order volume of 141%, 112%, 100%, 94%, and 88%, respectively.

What’s more, many consumers will call a takeaway, moon cakes, white wine and other gifts sent to parents and friends back home to express their feelings.

The rise of orders and more takeaway service will be positive signs for earnings of Meituan. And two months later, the Spring Festival will be another good thing for ticker order of train and plane.
