Cybertruck can be a double edged sword

$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$

To me the Cybertruck reminds me of the DeLorean DMC-12 which had stainless steel body panels and was really futuristic looking with it's wing shaped doors so much so that Doc Brown used it to time travel in Back to the Future. I must admit as a science fiction enthusiast I love the fact that Elon Musk is willing to build something as fantastical as the Cybertruck.

Of course as an investor I also have to take into consideration the fact that Musk's desire to take risks and develop novel and unique vehicles that no one else would ever consider making can be a double edged sword since producing the Cybertruck in significant numbers will be a herculean task.

The geek in me loves Tesla, the Cybertruck, and Musk, but the retail investor in me knows this may not be the best move for the stock or the company. I think Musk will have to make his next vehicle something that's very boring and ordinary, in other words something that's cheap to produce and can be mass produced with ease even if it's not something that excites anyone.

Cybertruck launch: Tesla back to $200 or $300?
Tesla fell in the after-hour trading after the launch of Cybertruck. The Cyberbeast starts at $60,990, higher than estimated price. Cybertruck can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.6 seconds, faster than a Porsche 911. ------------- Will you buy Cybertruck? Can Cybertruck lift Tesla stock price? What's your target price for Tesla?
