$Merck(MRK)$, which I like for its defensive business and as a diversification for my portfolio, as even during a recession when many may tighten their belts, they are less likely to skimp on essential medicines to treat critical illnesses. Merck has a number of blockbuster drugs such as Keytruda proven for cancer treatment and many other drugs in various stages of clinical trials. With concerns over global aging populations and rising awareness of healthcare, I believe that Merck will continue to bring home the bacon for many years to come.
